Generator-Based Tracking

The electronic waste regulations adopted by the California Integrated Waste Management Board have created the need for an efficient means of recording, tracking, and reporting the origin of electronic waste generated within the state. MDM has developed a comprehensive inventory-management and reporting system that greatly simplifies compliance with state regulations and facilitates communication and data exchange among approved collectors, recyclers, and the Waste Board.

Components include a rugged handheld computer with integrated barcode scanner and pre-loaded data recording forms, barcode label applicators, and pre-printed barcode labels. Options include both a desktop and Web-based version.

Manufacturer-Responsibility Programs

Many states place the responsibility for electronic-waste tracking on manufacturers. MDM provide collectors and recyclers with the tools to log units when received at central or remote collection sites, create shipping and transfer manifests, and generate reports for regulators.
