Outsourcing Facility Data Management to Reduce Overhead
The financial accounting and information-management systems of many facilities are often not well-suited to generating the information required by cities, counties, and facility users. Monthly compliance reports and responses to periodic requests for information must frequently be prepared off-line or with separate systems. In addition to being time-consuming, this approach can increase company overhead.
As a cost-effective alternative, MDM offers a comprehensive waste origin-reporting system consisting of:
- Web-based report forms that enable your high-volume customers to log in and view a list of their incoming loads for a specific day or month, then report the route numbers or origin information for each load
- Web-based report forms that transfer station operators can utilize at the end of each month to report the allocation of their incoming loads
- Machine-readable forms for low-volume or occasional customers to record information on incoming loads
MDM integrates the raw data taken from your scale systems and reported by your customers to prepare all compliance reports for state and county regulatory agencies. Because all of our systems are database-driven, we can easily create regular or special reports for customers or cities requiring information to manage their internal waste-management and recycling programs.
The Facts:
- We currently process waste origin information on 1,600 inbound loads per day at two large disposal facilities in California
- Since 2004, we have successfully processed information on more than 2 million loads
